Volunteer with us
Come to a plantation drive, sit in on a self-help group, or teach a skill on a Saturday. Two hours is a real contribution.
Join a driveWe are a small trust. That means an extra pair of hands genuinely changes what we can attempt this month — and you will be able to see exactly what your help did.

Join a driveA sewing machine, a term’s school fees, a hundred saplings. Tell us what you would like to fund and we will show you where it went.
Ways to giveSchools, resident associations, hospitals and companies — we are easy to work with and we bring the volunteers.
Start a conversationThere is no minimum commitment and no interview. Plantation drives happen on weekend mornings; training sessions need people who can explain things patiently.
If you have a specific skill — tailoring, teaching, accounts, photography, or simply a vehicle — say so, and we will use it.
We would rather you funded a thing than a budget line. Tell us what you want to pay for and we will send you a photograph of it being handed over.
Enough to keep one girl enrolled through a term she might otherwise have dropped out of.
Equipment for a woman who has finished training and needs the tool to start earning from it.
Enough for a full Harela drive with a school — including the guards and the watering that make them survive.
We are easy to work with, we bring the volunteers, and we know which families in the ward actually need what you are offering.
Yes. Khushiyon Ki Udaan Charitable Trust is registered in Dehradun, Uttarakhand under No. 876/2021 (IV), dated 31 August 2021. We are happy to show the documents to any donor or partner who asks.
No. Most of what needs doing at a plantation drive or a training session is straightforward — carrying things, keeping a group organised, planting, explaining a form. If you have a professional skill we will use that too, but it is not a requirement.
As little as one morning. Plantation drives are usually a weekend morning; a training session might run across two or three days and you can come for any part of it.
Often yes — sewing machines, looms, school supplies and saplings are all useful. Please check with us first so that what arrives matches what is actually needed.
Yes, and we prefer it that way. We will tell you what your contribution paid for and send photographs from the drive or session where it was used.
Our regular work is in Ward 67, Majri Mafi and the surrounding areas of Dehradun. We have taken part in events elsewhere in Uttarakhand, but we are deliberately a local trust — it is what lets us know families by name.
No form, no commitment. Message us, find out when the next plantation drive or training session is, and turn up once. Most of our volunteers started exactly that way.
