Rooted locally
We work in the wards around Majri Mafi, where our volunteers live. We know the families by name, and they know where to find us.

We are a small, registered trust in Dehradun. We plant trees on Harela, help women build livelihoods of their own, work inside schools, and sit with families until a broken home is liveable again.

A neighbourhood already knows who needs help. What it usually lacks is someone who will actually turn up — with a sapling, a loom, a form filled in, or an afternoon of patience.

A loom, a trade or a self-help group hands someone their own independence. That is a different thing from charity, and it lasts longer.
The trust is led by women and most of our work runs through women’s groups — because that is what changes a household’s trajectory fastest.
None of it is complicated. All of it needs someone to keep showing up.

Teej, Ambedkar Jayanti, Harela — the festivals that give a neighbourhood a reason to gather, and give us a room full of people to work with.

On 31 August 2021 the trust was registered, and a brass plate went up beside a door in Majri Mafi. Behind it was Smt. Sushila Chaudhary, a former Kshetra Panchayat member who had spent years being the person neighbours came to anyway.
Registration changed one thing: it meant the help could outlast any single person’s goodwill. Since then the work has grown into five programmes, but the method has not changed — find out who needs what, and go.

Recognised for raising awareness of livelihood mission schemes among women’s self-help groups in Dehradun.
Come to a plantation drive, sit in on a self-help group, or teach a skill on a Saturday. Two hours is a real contribution.
