A women-led trust, working street by street

Khushiyon Ki Udaan — a flight towards happiness — was registered in Dehradun on 31 August 2021. The name describes what we are trying to hand people: not rescue, but lift.

Our story

How it began

Smt. Sushila Chaudhary had already been doing this work for years without a name for it. As a former Kshetra Panchayat member she was the person neighbours came to — about a disability certificate, a school admission, a marriage falling apart.

Registering a trust was a practical decision rather than a grand one. It meant donations could be received properly, camps could be organised with hospitals and schools, and the help would not depend on one person’s energy alone.

The seal we chose says the rest: a child reaching up to release a dove, under a rising sun, ringed by laurel. खुशियों की उड़ान — the flight of happiness.
